We are interested to hear what you have been working on, and interested in.
Perhaps you have a body of work ready to exhibit? Or there's a dance work you've been working on and needs a stage? You might have a great idea to curate something really special, or even have this big idea for a new project and need someone to partner with. You might have started making this thing, you might have finished, you might be somewhere in the middle of the process.
We would love to hear your ideas - be that for our theatre, our galleries, our public spaces or our screens.

Earlier in 2021 Burrinja developed a new Strategic & Creative Plan, that carves a path for our future activity and positive impact in the lives of the community. One of the key elements of realising our creative future is to support artists exploring ideas and narratives that have a local relevance with a national resonance.
We know the incredibly rich practice that exists in the lives of our community, and we want our future program to reflect the vibrant community of artists that surround us.
We hope this open call out process will connect us with artists, creatives, thinkers, makers and doers who tell the important stories of today (for a better tomorrow).
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional custodians of the land where we live, work & play. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. Burrinja extends that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today and acknowledges them as the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. It is through valuing their history, traditions, culture and beliefs that we strive to stimulate awareness and promote respect for Indigenous contemporary art and culture and create a positive future for Indigenous and non-indigenous communities together.
