Burrinja Cultural Centre

Burrinja cultural centre in the Dandenong Ranges is seeking expressions of interest from persons interested in becoming a Director on our volunteer Board of Management from October 2018.
Burrinja’s Board are seeking nominations from persons with relevant industry and / or governance experience in of one of the following areas:

1. Commercial Licensing and Contracting; and / or Catering services

2. Fundraising  / Philanthropy

3. Information & Communication Technology Systems

Burrinja cultural centre is a not-for-profit arts organisation, incorporated in 1999 as the Dandenong Ranges Community Cultural Centre Inc. In 2015 it was endorsed by the ACNC as a registered Charity, and it has deductible gift recipient status Items 1 & 4.

Prospective Board Members need to submit a CV and complete a skills matrix indicating experience in one of the above skill sets.

Elected Board members will strive to uphold and fulfil the Vision, Mission and Aims of the Association:

Do you have good communication skills, good computer skills, an interest in the arts and a willingness to learn new information?

Our Front of House/Reception volunteers have a customer service focus. They are the first point of contact for visitors, and need to answer enquiries about events and happenings at Burrinja (galleries, theatre, music, artist studios, workshops and events) via telephone, email and in person. Volunteers will also be trained on our ticketing system and will sell tickets via phone and in person. There is also some cash handling, processing credit card payments and assisting in general administration duties.
