Artbridge Entertainment & Craft Music Present

Felicity Urquhart & Josh Cunningham - Live in the Lyre
Special Guest - Flynn Gurry

Thu 30 Oct 8pm | Lyre Room

Two voices. One heart. Zero pretence. Raw, real, and ridiculously good, the music born of this unique pairing has been described as “folksy country” but in truth, it cannot be contained within a simple genre description.

The highly recognisable guitar work of Josh Cunningham has been a defining element to the sound of iconic Australian band The Waifs for over three decades, whilst over the same time span, Felicity Urquhart developed a voice and style that must be experienced to be believed as she summited the pinnacle of Australian country music.

Not content to stay in their ‘folk rock royalty’ or ‘queen of country’ lanes, the couple simply make the music of their hearts, creating the category-defying sound that inspires joy and stirs the soul.

Already ARIA-nominated (The Song Club) and three times Golden Guitar winners (Birdsong), these legends aren’t resting on their laurels - they’re writing the next chapter. Catch fresh tracks from their upcoming album, plus the songs you already love, as you join them on a musical journey that’s fiery and full of heart, where past and present harmonise, and every note tells a story. Don’t miss it.

Burrinja presents Kutcha Edwards in association with Belgrave Survival Day

Kutcha Edwards

Fri 7 Nov 8pm | Burrinja Theatre

A Journey of Connection, Culture, and Belonging

Kutcha Edwards, a proud Mutti Mutti, Yorta Yorta, and Nari Nari Songman, has been blending music and activism since the 1990s. As one of Australia’s most respected Indigenous singer-songwriters, Kutcha’s work resonates deeply with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, sharing heartfelt truths, connection, and belonging through his songs and stories.

A survivor of the Stolen Generations, Kutcha’s journey of reconnection to his Mutti Mutti heritage has shaped his music and activism. His creative output spans five solo albums, theatre shows, and the beloved TV series Kutcha’s Koorioke, where he shares stories and songs with Aboriginal legends and emerging artists.

Kutcha’s latest album, Circling Time, is a profound reflection on his life’s highs and lows, featuring powerful tracks like “Singing Up Country” and “Mrs Edwards.” His music transcends genres, blending ‘Bidgee’ blues with traditional songs, creating connections across cultures and generations.

Beyond music, Kutcha’s work in radio and prisons, including the award-winning Beyond the Bars broadcasts, amplifies the voices of the voiceless. His empathy and understanding, born from his own experiences, foster cultural understanding and self-knowledge.

Kutcha Edwards is more than a songwriter; he is a Songman, drawing on ancestral wisdom and life experiences to inspire love, family, and connection to Country. His music is a universal rhythm that unites us all.
