Soft Geometry - An exhibition by Stephen Glover

A resident of the Dandenong Ranges and practising artist/educator, Stephen works from Stain Studio at Burrinja Cultural Centre and brings a long history of both solo and group exhibitions to this latest body of work.

An award-winner at the iconic Linden New Art Postcard Show (2018), Stephen has artworks held in collections across Australia, Denmark, Greece, the United States, Germany, England, and India. Recent solo exhibitions include Yering Station Art Gallery (2023) and Up Gallery (2024).

Soft Geometry challenges the traditionally rigid symbolism of geometric form—long associated with masculine ideals of strength, stability, and rationality. In this series, geometry is softened, blurred, and reimagined, reflecting a symbolic shift from ego towards a more compassionate awareness beyond the self.

With a deep and ongoing interest in abstraction, Stephen draws inspiration from renowned artists including Robert Ryman, Robert Rauschenberg, Paul Klee and also from the colour charts of Ellsworth Kelly.

Exhibition Opening | Sun 7 Sep 2pm

Join Stephen for drinks and nibbles to launch his new exhibition.

All are welcome—don’t miss this inspiring afternoon!
