Apply Today!Homegrown: Music From Here is a music industry program for young people aged 12–25 in the Dandenong Ranges and surrounding communities.
Six young artists will be selected through an Expression of Interest to participate in a professional development session with local music industry professionals before performing at a public showcase event at Burrinja Cultural Centre.
Whether you're an aspiring artist, an industry professional, or a local music fan, Homegrown is an opportunity to discover, support and celebrate the next generation of local music talent.
We're seeking applications from young musicians aged 12–25 with a connection to the Dandenong Ranges or surrounding communities.
Artists of all genres are encouraged to apply, whether you're performing original music, developing new work, or looking for your first professional performance opportunity.

Homegrown is an opportunity to discover emerging artists from the Dandenong Ranges and surrounding communities. Venue operators, festival programmers, media representatives, presenters, producers, council staff and others working in the music sector are warmly invited to attend the showcase.
Program BriefThe program culminates in a live showcase event featuring six emerging local artists performing short sets at Burrinja Cultural Centre. The showcase provides young musicians with the opportunity to perform in a professional venue, share their work with a public audience, and connect with local industry representatives. The audience will include music fans, community members, media representatives, venue operators, festival programmers, and other industry professionals.
