Book NowParticipants will leave with a canvas of their own creation. You will experience an artistic process enabling you to immerse yourself in the world of abstract painting.
Every person has a unique written signature, and in the same way, every individual has an original and individual style of artistic expression.
Come along and discover your free artistic side while expressing yourself. No prior experience is necessary. During the first part of this enjoyable painting workshop, you will have the opportunity to unleash your creativity while mixing colours and applying them in different ways, while creating small experimental pieces.
These are designed to explore colour, texture and mark making in expressive ways and to use artistic methods of layering, brushwork and decision making. In the second part of the workshop, you will paint your own abstract canvas using your own combinations and choices of shapes, colours, and mark-making with confidence.
Get ready to explore your artistic side and join this abstract painting workshop for a truly transformative experience!
Suitable for beginners aged 13 and over. All materials and tools are provided. Places are limited to 12 participants, so book early to avoid missing out.
MaryLin is an abstract expressionist painter whose contemporary practice explores colour, texture and mark-making. Inspired by the natural world, her layered acrylic works translate themes of growth, decay and emotion into vibrant, intuitive compositions. Working from her Burrinja studio, she recently presented her solo exhibition Heart Felt at Lyre Gallery. MaryLin was interviewed during the exhibition, offering further insight into her creative practice and artistic journey.
