In this artist-guided installation, the WA-based collective will use augmented reality and sound as a narrative vehicle to reveal the hidden destruction of Perth/Boorlo’s urban canopy by the polyphagous shot-hole borer. The award-winning artists work as a collective to create site-specific work using emergent technology and participatory arts practices to explore the interconnections between people, place, history and our responses to the current ecological crisis

About the Artists

Catherine Gough-Brady is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Catherine produced and directed six ABC TV documentary series and created 11 radio features for ABC Radio National. Catherine’s art films explore our relationship with the non-human and have screened globally in galleries. Catherine is a senior lecturer at Edith Cowan University.

W. Sze Tsang / samarobryn is a researcher, performer and audio-visual artist exploring the intersections of history, place and self through digital technologies. Through exposing the multiple layers of narrative that inform place, Sze's works invite unearthings of the past, meditations on the present and contemplations of the future. 

Cassandra Tytler is an artist-scholar working across video, performance, and site-specific practice. With wry humour and a feminist, ecosocial, anti-colonialist lens, she explores audio-visual performance as a politics of resistance. Based in Boorloo/Perth, her work has been exhibited, screened, and performed nationally and internationally.
