Tracey is an established visual artist, singer-songwriter musician who uses her gift of music-colour synesthesia to express colours, shapes and textures inspired by multiple aspects of music.
Her pencil hand-drawn illustrations are digitally embellished into rich, vibrant artworks that reflect how she synesthetically interprets music, in both figurative and abstract forms, and within natural landscapes.
Walking through a delightful garden dotted with gracefully decomposing musical instruments, you approach an awesome geodesic dome filled with rich, colourful artworks displayed on the walls and windows overlooking the forest. The grand piano is surrounded by song charts, lyric sheets, music books and percussion instruments, offering synesthesia-based concert performances. Art works in progress are displayed on a desktop computer on the mezzanine level.

“My music garden is a metaphor for life, reminding us of the beauty remaining, albeit somewhat hidden, within degradation - it is a constant inspiration for my work. My music-colour synesthesia expresses itself through the creation of image-laden songs and musically-themed artworks, inviting people to "see what they hear" and "hear what they see", encouraging exploration, curiosity and appreciation for the importance and necessity of music from multiple viewpoints."

Participants learn some basic drawing techniques to create an abstract, musically-themed line-art piece (inspired by musical instruments and their sounds), which they may colour in and take home with them.
As a professional musician, song-writer, synesthete and visual artist, I’ve learned a thing or two over the years. In this comfy, relaxed Q&A session, feel free to ask me anything.
Enjoy an entertaining and informative concert as Tracey plays the grand piano (alongside other musicians), singing her synesthesia-inspired songs, to which you may create, and/or colour in drawings whilst listening.
