Leticia is a pet portrait artist who creates highly detailed commissioned paintings. She specialises in working with owners to capture the true personality of treasured furry family members or to honour them in a memorial.
Leticia’s other works explore storytelling, ranging from narrative portraiture on themes of motherhood, disability, and self-reflection to people's nostalgic connection to place.
Leticia's studio is part of the vibrant Burrinja Studios program, where established and emerging artists create alongside one another in a supportive, collaborative environment. She can be found producing commissions or exhibition works in acrylic on board and paper, surrounded by a gallery of past works. Her four-legged muse Poppy is often at her feet…unless someone has snacks.

"My practice was born during the lockdowns. I picked up brushes at a time when the world buzzed with stress and anxiety to find that painting quietened my mind and filled my heart. Pet portraiture started as a happy accident and grew into a variety of opportunities to visually portray the stories that had time to grow in the stillness."
