Itamar, known as Mr Heartist, is an Israeli Melbourne-based artist whose work explores the ephemeral nature of matter and the eternal essence of consciousness.
His paintings are an invitation to go within, meditate and explore layers of connection, life and nature.
As a new artist in this shared studio environment, Itamar has felt welcomed into a supportive and encouraging space that values connection and creative exchange with over a dozen local artists from a diverse range of cultures, backgrounds, and artistic expressions. Working alongside other artists has fostered a strong sense of belonging and inspiration, helping Itamar settle in quickly and gain confidence through daily interaction and shared practice.

"The canvas is calling. I'm just answering the call. I am inspired by spirituality and the relation between the individual to nature and the higher forces. Sometimes the process is intuitive, and sometimes I have a general idea of the painting. Nevertheless, the more I paint, the more it seems like the painting is telling me what it wants. It's like the painting is revealing itself and I just need to hold the brush, and listen."
