Skübz's painting is informed by a blend of influences, including animation, comics, graffiti, portraiture and abstraction, whilst his sculptures seek to breathe new life into discarded objects and waste materials.
In the main studio, Skübz works with paint and brush, digital sketchpad and clay to create a variety of works. Finished artworks are on display for visitors, alongside art prints and custom clothing representing his individual style.
Down in the hidden "Boiler Room" workshop, a growing collection of found objects and materials are sorted and stored before being combined into found object sculptures using grinders, saws and drills and whatever tools may be at hand.
Themes of freedom, rebellion, and psychonautic travels are infused with a sense of nostalgia, forming the foundation of much of his work. More recent explorations into abstract organic forms in both drawing and ceramic sculpture reveal new depths and direction in his practice.

"Creativity allows us to nurture and express our inner spirit and connect with the world in a myriad of interesting and unexpected ways.
— Skübz Mope
I feel a connection with something 'other' when I create, a force or energy that seeks expression through my art, taking shape through my own visual lens. In this way much of my work does not aim to be representative of a particular subject or statement, as much as its own distinct image or object."
