Burrinja extends that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today and acknowledges them as the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. It is through valuing their history, traditions, culture and beliefs that we strive to stimulate awareness and promote respect for Indigenous contemporary art and culture and create a positive future for Indigenous and non-indigenous communities together.
