MC - Mike Goldstein

Mike Goldstein has established himself as a unique and refreshing rising star in comedy both locally and internationally.

American born, Mike Goldstein isn’t in Kansas anymore. Sydney first, then Perth, and now Melbourne, the part Christian, part Jewish, with a dash of Sri Lankan (Yep! You read right!), has been doing stand-up comedy for the past decade and Aussie audiences are loving him.

Mike is a regular panellist on the Nine Network’s TV Week Logie nominated comedy series The Hundred with Andy Lee, which receives great ratings and reviews. Mike is also the host of one of Australia’s most successful comedy podcasts, The Phone Hacks. Mike’s other television credits include ABC’s Tonightly with Tom Ballard, Nine Network’s The Pulse, Network Ten’s Hughesy We Have A Problem and Celebrity Letters & Numbers on SBS. He has also been a regular guest on Triple J radio.

Claire Hooper

Claire Hooper started on the stage – crafting engaging, innovative live shows that blended stand-up, theatre and some hammer dancing.

Her 2006 show, ‘Oh’, earned her both critical acclaim and a nomination for the Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer award. A born storyteller with a sharp wit, Claire has gone on to regularly perform at festivals and comedy rooms all over the country.

For four years Claire shared a set with Paul McDermott and Mikey Robbins on the iconic comedy show Good News Week as a team captain.

Over the last decade, Claire has been captivating audiences and touring brilliant solo shows across the country to critical acclaim.

Claire hosted The Great Australian Bake Off for Foxtel’s LifeStyle Channel alongside the seriously funny Mel Buttle, for 5 seasons. This theme carried through to Claire’s brilliant solo shows “Biscuits” in 2020 and “Tea” in 2022 which will be released as an audio special via ABC Comedy Presents later this year.

A regular on screen, Claire can often be seen co-hosting Channel Ten’s The Project as well as appearances on ABC’s Question Everything, Spicks & Specks, SBS’ Celebrity Letters & Numbers and Channel Ten’s Would I Lie To You?

Daniel Fernandes (INDIA)

Daniel Fernandes is one of India’s leading English stand-up comedians. He’s a regular at comedy venues across the country, and has performed internationally at comedy festivals in the Netherlands (Utrecht International Comedy Festival), Singapore (Singapore Fringe), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur International Comedy Festival) and Australia.

He headlined Comedy Zone Asia at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2016, where he also performed his solo show Daniel Fernandes – Unoffended. His TV credits include ABC TV’s Comedy Up Late and Comedy Central Asia’s Stand-Up Asia.

Daniel’s material is a mix of observational, political and dark humour with a dash of social commentary. His self-titled YouTube channel, currently at 7.5 million views, has been a huge hit with fans in India and abroad – particularly for his most controversial material. Some of his most popular videos feature stand-up on topics like student suicide, marital rape, the Charlie Hebdo attacks, capital punishment, the Syrian crisis and the US presidential elections.

Bronwyn Kuss

Bronwyn Kuss is a writer and comedian who specialises in giving extremely dry recounts of everyday tragedies to astonishing comedic effect.

So astonishingly in fact, that Bronwyn’s debut solo show Any Goss saw her win the 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Director’s Choice Award, alongside Wil Anderson. She was also nominated for the prestigious Best Newcomer Award.

Hailing from Ipswich, Bronwyn first gave comedy a crack in 2017. A few months later she represented Queensland and performed at the RAW National final at the 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Bronwyn has performed support for Mel Buttle & Hannah Gadsby,, , written for BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack, attended the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York, and appeared on ABC Radio Sunday Afternoons & Triple R’s Breakfasters.

Bronwyn is potentially the only person in comedy to have the unique combination of having worked in Brisbane women’s correctional facilities, represent Queensland in Under 16’s Softball and possess university degrees in both Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television. A proper renaissance woman, but to her pair of rescue dogs, she’s just mum.

Luka Muller

A Melbourne-based comedian, radio presenter, writer, and podcaster, he has performed all over Australia as well as headlining shows in Edinburgh, London, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur. He has sold out shows at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Perth Fringe World, Adelaide Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and more. He considers himself a very lucky guy. He has done stand-up at Splendour In The Grass Music Festival, PAX Gaming Convention, and was chosen by the Melbourne Comedy Festival to perform at The Festival Club and their filmed Comedy Up Late shows. He can be heard regularly on Triple J and has appeared on SBS, Channel 9, ABC TV, the BBC, 3RRR FM, and more.
