2008 will see Burrinja launch its third season of professional theatre. Like our successful previous seasons 2008 will offer highest quality and broadest variety of theatrical experience available. Over the past two years Burrinja has hosted everything from physical theatre retellings of classic Australian stories to saucy cabaret, from the powerful drama of aboriginal rights to the hilarious insanity of live music scores to Charlie Chaplin films. The coming season promises to offer another vast array of treasures. Another great feature of Burrinja's theatre offerings has been the number of unique 'city' shows that have come from highly respected companies such as LaMama and Malthouse to Burrinja for their first suburban season. In 2008 Burrinja will maintain this commitment to bringing Dandenong Ranges community the most innovative theatre production available.

| Music - Theatre - Dance - Film As well as its main theatre season, Burrinja presents a varied program of performance events, including music, film and children's events, with amateur, youth, school and professional productions. See our Events page for full details of all coming events. The Performance Space Seats 150 people in a flat floor space with excellent stage, lighting and sound facilities. With funding committed, we’re in the design stage for our 400 seat performance space, scheduled for completion during 2009. The facility will enable the region’s community to access a quality local performing arts venue. We still require the support of our Foundation Members for equipment and instruments. Individuals and organisations can become Foundation Members by pledging financial support for the project and receiving many benefits.
