Belgrave will rejoice through light, song, art and performance this Winter solstice when the Lantern Parade again reclaims the Main Street for the people! The aim of Belgrave Community Arts Partnership this year is about getting as many people involved creatively as possible, with everything from large festival group lanterns to smaller lanterns, workshops, music, circus performance, drumming and more. Everyone is encouraged to plan creative costumes for the night. Lantern Parade organisers encourage everyone to consider the environment on the night, by walking, riding, car pooling or doing what ever else they can to reduce their footprint and make this a truly ‘people friendly' event.
